Why don't anti-ageing creams make me look younger?

I am an 18-year-old gay man and I do look a bit younger than my age but although I use those anti-ageing creams that swear they can make you look up to 5-10 years younger, they don't work for me. My face stays the same. My mother uses them too and looks 10 to 15 years younger than her actual age.
